The 2025 Carmel Sandcastle Contest is an annual event held on Carmel Beach. It's a family-friendly competition where participants create sand sculptures based on a chosen theme. The event encourages creativity and artistic expression, with awards for various categories, including the "Best Bribe". The contest boundaries are typically between 10th and 12th streets on Carmel Beach, with judging starting at 11:00 am and awards presented around noon.

Rotary Club of Carmel-by-the-Sea will be participating with a float in this year’s Carmel Halloween Parate!

The City of Carmel-by-the-Sea was incorporated on Halloween in 1916, so it celebrates its birthday and the country's favorite costume-and-candy holiday with a Halloween Parade at 4 p.m. Traveling through downtown, all are welcome to participate or spectate. City dignitaries, VIPs, costumed dogs and kids, and residents and visitors alike gather for this upbeat annual affair! Following the parade, the village's charming shops will be open for trick-or-treating and other fun fall festivities.
